When learning a new programming language or game creation technology, what kind of game do you make?
Peter Akemann said he liked to make Snake. The new Snakes On A Cartesian Plane ( http://www.kongregate.com/games/netgrind/snakes-on-a-cartesian-plane/) reminded me of this.
For me, it's a tetris clone half the time or a twin-stick shooter the other half.
