The latest tournament ends tonight and competition is heating up, thanks to the Chrome Web Store:
Leaderboard's getting a bit crowded. I'm going to need to make improvements there, but there still isn't so much critical mass that a friends leaderboard makes sense yet, I don't think.
So there it is, about 16 pages down in the "Games" section of the Chrome Web Store. It's very easy to put a website into the CWS - there are no approval processes like with iOS - you follow the recipe and the next day it's there.
Interestingly, just about the same day Chrome 15 launched they rolled out this new version of the Web Store which is missing features from its previous incarnation. There is no 'new and noteworthy' or 'featured' section, which, honestly, I was kind of counting on - I thought the folks at Google would be promoting cool native client games and that would get sixty second shooter into the tens of thousands installed instead of just the hundreds. Also, one can't search by subcategory - there's no Games->Shooters or Games->Arcade ATM.
But, hey, all is not lost - afaict, there's nothing like 60ss in the store now, so maybe it'll move up on its merits.
