Just found out about the Firefox "Live Bookmark" feature, and combined it with del.icio.us so my bookmarks will match on all my machines. I suppose everybody else knew about this for years.

cool but I just use del.icio.us direclty. I don't use any browser's bookmarks. Then it doesn't matter what browser I use and I can search by tags etc.

Actually, I remember downloading a new version of Firefox and seeing Live Bookmarks as one of the features. I didn't know what it was, but I had some time to waste so I clicked on it, and the entire world of blogs and news feeds opened up to me. I also finally figured out what the heck those RSS, ATOM, and XML icons were. Within maybe a week or two, I had to categorize my feeds by type or topic because I had so many. I've rarely used bookmarks in general before, but now I don't know how I can do without.
Now, del.icio.us on the other hand...I always hear about it, but I never stopped to look into exactly what it was. So I guess that's what I'll do today. B-)

Welcome to Web2.0 ;)
One thing definitely worth trying with live bookmarks - set up an RSS feed of your build machine results or your check-ins, import through live bookmarks. Instant overview of what's going on right now.

Live Bookmarks are nice, but I still prefer the Sage extension for feeds.

Dec 11th: Jamie posts about del.icio.us & Firefox.
Dec 12th: Yahoo buys del.icio.us
Dec 14th: del.icio.us experiences severe difficults, including site crashes & RSS feeds not working.
Dude, this is one powerful blog you've got here!

Live bookmarking is great, but the addons for Firefox are well worth looking into if anyone hasn't done that yet. (There's a del.icio.us one too, actually: http://delicious.mozdev.org/ )
Beyond the obvious AdBlock/Filterset.G Updater combo I heartily recommend 'Download Sort', 'SessionSaver', and 'Forecastfox'. As the family 'computer guy' I've always thought people were crazy for installing weather plug-ins with tons of built-in spyware and crippling their machines. Now I see that there is a way to do it... And it's actually kinda cool.
