Just came across this UT2K4 mod that really impressed me. The art direction and atmosphere is just great. The demo only takes an hour or so to play, and it's worth it just for enjoying the ambiance.
Single player mods for UT2K4 are rare - which I guess isn't surprising since it's a tournament game. But single player mods in general seem pretty rare...ones the creators are willing to show the public, anyway.
Anyhow, that's what I'm looking for. Single player mods. This and Thief 2x are the only ones I've found so far that are worth mentioning...but I haven't dug very deeply yet.
Any recommendations for good single player mods?
There were some still being made for the older UT builds, but as you say - SP campaigns are rare with the new engines. Heck, with a lot of mods - even decent offline support is rare, including the MSUC winning Red Orchestra - which only updated it's bot code at the latter builds. For Half-Life They Hunger is relatively well known. For Unreal Tournament - Operation Na Pali was pretty good.
The artist responsible for HM, btw, is ivangraphics, findable here: http://www.planetunreal.com/ivangraphics/. I kept trying to get him to work with me when I was really active in the mod community :). Good guy, great work.

It's not the greatest mod, but I think it's worth mentioning because of it's uniqueness: Duffers Golf (http://www.duffersgolf.net). It's a barely passable golf game, but evidence of how flexible UnrealScript is.
Geesh, I sound like a commercial for Epic.
