IGDA Leadership Forum
I've been on the advisory committee for the IGDA Leadership Forum and I've been pretty much useless other than saying "That sounds like a good talk" and "That doesn't sound like a good talk". But despite my lack of valuable contribution, it's shaping up to be a very cool conference:
We've got Greg Zeschuk & Ray Muzyka, lords of Bioware, giving a talk.
We've got Tim Schafer (and I think Caroline Esmurdoc, though she's not on the program yet), lord (and lady) of Doublefine, giving a talk.
We've got Don Daglow, lord of Stormfront, giving a talk.
And I'll be talking, too, on scheduling videogame development, and how it can't be done but you should do it anyway. One of my favorite topics.
So I'm really excited about the whole thing. You should all go. It's in San Francisco, on the 8th & 9th of November. You can find out more and register here: http://www.igda.org/leadership/

Still one of my favorite quotes is from DD Eisenhower, "Plans are useless, but planning is indispensable."

You are far too modest. Just because others of us speak up too much, doesn't mean you haven't been a productive member of the team ;)
Thanks for all the help with topic and speaker suggestions, and sanity checking on all the various organizational ideas, etc!
